JUNEE Jaguars Thirsty Thirds met Lake Albert on Saturday at Burns Park in a game that contrasted to the teams’ first meeting.
Junee had an over abundance of players and was able to press the Lake Albert side and gain a heartening 2-2 draw.
The game looked like going the same way as the previous match after Lake had the lead 2-1 late in the match.
But Junee snatched a draw off a great corner and header after some excellent play distracted a number of the Lake Albert defence from its appointed jobs.
Tom Crowder and Tony Guthrie scored for Junee after some great teamwork built the play and stretched the Lake defence.
The squad is working well together and with the introduction of a couple of younger sets of legs, the experience of some of the senior members of the team is being exploited well and to great effect and will serve the team well into the future.
It was a great team effort on the day with best for Junee being Craig Watt, Tom Crowder, Chris Fish and Darron Watt.
