WITH three weeks since its last game, two weeks without training and four players absent, the Jaguars under 13 side wasn’t in the best of form.
The Crows scored a number of goals before Junee put together a couple of threatening raids to hold the Crows back.
Jacob Smith put his hand up to play in goal and was doing well, while Caleb Fahy and Jaimie Johns worked with success in defence.
Johns was marking the Crows’ most dangerous attacking player, making life difficult for him and Fahy supported everyone from sweeper.
Darcy Lemmich and Jade Becroft gave everything they had in the midfield, tackling strongly and counterattacking at every opportunity.
Credit must go to Fahy who volunteered to keep goal in the second half and showed character, despite the play constantly heading his way.
Junee simply ran out of puff, without subs and training and the ability to use familiar structure.
Hannah Turner, who came to Junee directly from playing a whole game for the under 12, must be thanked for backing up to run all game on the wing.
She was named best and fairest along with Johns, Smith, Fahy and Becroft.
