Junee’s Leonard Cup side met Cootamundra at Rawlings Park on Sunday and suffered a 6-0 loss with all goals being scored in the first half.
The Junee combination lost concentration early and couldn’t match the intensity of the opposition.
It paid the price for ball watching and dropping off players, giving the opposition too much time to strike and score some easy goals.
Junee’s second half performance produced a much closer affair, with players concentrating and putting the opposition under pressure at every opportunity and creating more chances for themselves than they created in the first half.
The Junee squad will now have to work extremely hard to get back in to the top four of the competition with only another six rounds to be played.
