Junee Stallions took on Gundagai’s Family Hotel side Saturday in the semi-final of the Hogan Cup.
Playing their first game in four weeks, the Stallions were on fire, bowling Family out for 95 runs off 28 overs.
Brett Dobson starred with the ball, taking 5-21 by bowling a brilliant line and length and tying the batsmen down.
Murray Garlick also picked up two wickets and took four magnificent catches, of which he never looked like putting one down.
The Stallions wasted no time chasing down the small total and finished on 2-105 after just 15 overs. Joe Crowder (57 not out) and Darren O’Rafferty (43) put on an opening partnership of 88 runs, nearly getting the team home by 10 wickets. Saturday’s grand final is now an all-Junee affair, with the Stallions set to take on the Red Cow.
