A LACK of numbers at Loftus Oval on Saturday meant only one game of cricket was played with school holidays being
partially responsible.
Enough players arrived for two teams –calling themselves Andreas and Zyon.
Zyon batted first and scored 134 runs, with C Judd managing a top score of 30 not out and E Sainsbury was close on his heels with 29 not out.
Also running hard was H Hume with 18 and J Butler with 15.
Andreas’ best bowler was C Buck taking two for 18.
Zyon’s great score of 134 wasn’t enough however as Andreas managed 142 in reply.
C Henderson smashed six sixes, finishing with 71 runs, K Ross batted well to reach 23 not out and B Whitteker had 21.
Bowling for Zyon, W McGrath came up with six wickets for just seven runs and C Judd helped out taking three for 17.
