MEMBER for Murrumbidgee Adrian Piccoli has been unable to secure a response from train company Pacific National regarding the loss of 42 driver positions in Junee.
Five weeks after holding a meeting in Junee with train drivers, Mr Piccoli’s office is still waiting on a return phone call
from the company following a request to have company executives meet with drivers to discuss their decision to terminate jobs and close the Junee depot.
Last week, a representative from Pacific National called Mr Piccoli’s office to say it would call again on Monday about the situation.
However, Mr Piccoli is yet to receive the call.
“So far we’ve had no luck, but we are still working on it,” he said.
