LAST weekend’s great weather meant it was a top day out for horse riders with the Junee Pony Club having a successful registration day.
Club members were grouped based on ability and confidence and each completed games, lessons and trail riders with their chosen steed with riders having plenty of fun along the way.
The pony club is focused on developing Junee’s youth, including mentally, physically and spritualling while also encouraging sportsmanship and citizenship.
Junee Pony Club will hold rallies on the first and third Sunday of each month with activities including gymkhanas, campdratfs, trail rides and demonstrations.
Riders who might have missed the registration day are still able to register during the next few rallies.
The next rally is on Sunday, February 19.
All riders must be saddled, mounted and ready to start the rally by 10am.
Riders should bring along lunch and drinks with barbecue facilities provided.
Club organisers thank the Junee Correctional Centre inmates for their hard work in cleaning up the pony club grounds ahead of the registration day.
