PULLING out a taser gun was enough for a Junee man to hand himself over to police on the weekend following a domestic dispute.
Police and ambulance officers were called to a Junee home just after 7.55pm on Saturday with officers having to subdue a 30-year-old man who threatened them with scissors.
On entering the house police spoke to a number of people who were injured during the dispute and were being attended by ambulance officers.
Wagga Local Area Command crime manager Rod Smith said the man allegedly picked up a pair of scissors and threatened ambulance officers in the home’s kitchen.
The officers retreated from the kitchen allowing the police to enter.
The man allegedly made threats to police with the scissors ignoring directions to put the scissors down.
With the man displaying no intention of putting the scissors down, a police officer removed a taser from his belt.
Police alleged the man realised he would be tasered and opted to drop the weapon.
The man was arrested and taken to the Junee police station.
He will face Junee Local Court on May 6 charged with being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, intimidation, resist arrest and intimidation of a police officer.
