Junee youth to visit cinema, gym

12 Jan, 2012 07:00 AM
HOLIDAY activities in Junee have started with plenty of the district’s children having a good time during their break from school.

The traditional movie bus trip organised by Junee Shire Council is close to exceeding expectations.

Set for January 18, council’s community development officer Jacinta Ryan said one bus had already been filled and a second one – which was on the waiting list was filling up quickly as well.

While tomorrow’s gym expedition had not filled as quickly as the movie bus trip, there were less than a handful of spots left on the bus for children to get on.

The usual holiday skate competition is also on again in Junee on Friday, January 20, at 10.30am.

Junee youth can demonstrate their skills with skateboards, scooters or bmx bikes to win prizes including skateboard and scooter parts and more.

Skaters are encouraged to register before 10.15am on Friday to compete with a small fee of $5.

More information regarding any of the events can

be obtained from www.junee.nsw.gov.au
