Drugs allegedly found

A 38-year-old Junee man will face Wagga Local Court next month after allegedly being found in possession of a trafficable quality of cannabis last week.

On Wednesday, August 11, Wagga Highway Patrol stopped a white Ford in Pearson Street, Wagga for a minor traffic infringement.

Police observed and located a metal oil container allegedly filled with cannabis, a hunting knife and other drug paraphernalia.

The man was arrested and conveyed to Wagga police

station and charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug and custody of a knife in a public place.

The estimated street value of the cannabis is $9200.
