Crash injures teen driver

AN 18-year-old male was lucky to escape from his car after hitting a tree along the Goldenfields Way near Briarleigh.

At 7.45pm on Sunday the male was travelling south along a straight stretch of the road before he began to drift to the left.

The car travelled 50 metres along the road’s dirt shoulder before hitting a tree.

He was the only occupant of the vehicle.

He was taken to Wagga Base Hospital

in a serious condition, according to an ambulance service sourse.
