Council offers cash for camp

JUNEE Shire Council is offering up to $500 to youth interested in taking part in the YouthROC Camp to be held in April.

Young people throughout the Eastern Riverina are being encouraged to take part in YouthROC Camp which has been organised by the Riverina Eastern Regional Organisation of Councils (REROC) Regional Youth Council.

The camp will be held in the middle of the April school holidays from Monday, April 12 to Wednesday, April 14 at Borambola Sport and Recreation Camp.

Junee Shire Council, which supports the program, is offering a subsidy for first time participants.

Up to $500 will be divided among the first timers who enrol at council before April 1.

The cost of the weekend is $180 covering all meals and accommodation.

There will be opportunities to take part in rock climbing, low ropes, archery, canoeing and kayaking, fencing and testing BMX skills.

It is for youth aged 12 to 17 years.
