HUNDREDS turned out to Illabo on Friday to watch as the contents of Illabo Engineering went under the hammer.
In the hands of liquidators, the former business’s contents were auctioned off by Rundles of Wagga, which saw items including tractors, vehicles and tools cleared off the site.
General manager of Rundles Auctions Joe Howard said bidders were competitive with all items sold.
“We had a massive turn up with over 250 registered bidders from everywhere in the Riverina and interstate, including Victoria and Queensland.
“Everything was sold ... with competitive bidding and a great clearance rate,” he said.
Insolvency agency RSM Bird Cameron said they were unable to comment on the future of the site.
The property and its contents were originally scheduled for sale at the beginning of June through expressions of interest, however, after expressions closed the property was taken over.
